The service was great, put the pasta was...soupy. We ordered the chicken Francese and Saltimbocca and both were underwhelming. The bread and olive oil were great, and so was the Roasted Red Peppers and Sausage appetizer. Far more flavorful than the actual entrées. We sat in the covered patio so I'm not sure what the interior of the restaurant looks like but the patio was warm any inviting.

Just wanted to take a moment to rave about tonight’s experience at Aliano's in downtown Dundee. First off, the decor is festive and so cozy—inside and out. The manager greeted us with so much enthusiasm and kindness… Offered to take photos of my family while we waited for our table. The server was patient, well informed about the menu, and did the “little” things that matter the most when you’re dining with little ones. One example: He heard me quietly tell my mother that I was going to dilute the lemonade for my daughter and instead of just letting that be my problem, he came back with a kid’s cup already diluted for her. If you’re a parent you understand how these types of things do not go unnoticed. Our food was brought out on time and truly exceeded our expectations. So good—especially the pizza. We decided to go the family-style route— which I highly recommend if it’s your first time eating there. 10/10.

Finally got here for some al fresco dining. Great spot! Rigatoni has the most tender Italian sausage and distinct sauce. And the pizza had a crisp crust that didn't flop over with same sausage, chopped green pepper & onion. Started off with some very tender fried calamari. Menu has so many more dishes we want to try. Friendly staff and lively yet not annoyingly loud atmosphere.

Like so many other reviews, this was my first time here, but not the last. So here are the bullet points: - Bread + olive oil and balsamic vinegar was very good - Small house salad + house dressing was perfectly sized - Entrees were fantastic: - I had the Spaghetti Bolognese. Sort of a base item for any Italian restaurant, but this was way better than most. - Wife had the Chicken Parmesan. Again, a basic item, but wow it was good. It was served with a side of pasta that was almost as good as the main dish. I like to watch what other people order and every dish, at least from appearance was excellently presented. They were also piping hot, not overly so, but they get your food to the table right away, so you are not dealing with something that was sitting under a heat lamp waiting for the next dish. Service was great, they were most likely understaffed, but they made up for it in being very friendly and personable. They have a huge Al Fresco dining area that they turned into a year-round space. We ate in the main restaurant, and I liked that better, but the additional space seemed great for larger crowds. I would order anything off the menu and do not think I would be disappointed. I wish we had stopped by here years ago but will not hesitate to go again.

First time here and 10 out of 10!!!!! The goat cheese bruschetta was absolutely amazing. The tortellini life changing! The cannoli was so magic! Owners were so kind and friendly. Waitress was so nice! Definitely coming back. If you are looking for a small mom/ pop good Italian food with great atmosphere…this is the place to try.

My wife and I had the most incredible time celebrating our anniversary at this restaurant. From start to finish, it was a delightful experience that exceeded our expectations in every way. The ambiance was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting outside for a romantic evening. The staff was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcomed from the moment we stepped in. We were promptly seated, and our server was knowledgeable about the menu, helping us navigate through the extensive options available. Speaking of the menu, it had so many options! The dishes were beautifully presented, and the flavors were perfect. From appetizers to desserts, each bite was delightful. We couldn't help but savor every moment of our dining experience. To top it all off, we had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, who was genuinely interested in our experience and shared insights about the restaurant's story. It was evident that they take immense pride in their establishment and put tremendous effort into ensuring guests have a fantastic time. The range of drink options was impressive, catering to all preferences. We tried a few signature cocktails, and they were expertly crafted, perfectly complementing our meals. Overall, we can't speak highly enough of our time here. The restaurant's combination of delectable food, top-notch service, and a warm atmosphere made our anniversary truly unforgettable. We're already planning our next visit because we simply must explore more of the menu and enjoy another exceptional dining experience. Highly recommended!
